About Us

Austin Area Research Organization (AARO) is a non-profit organization comprised of 100 business and community leaders from the Central Texas region of Caldwell, Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. The AARO membership reflects the diverse base of the Austin region with representation from industry, real estate, finance, health care, professional firms, the arts, and educational, religious, and charitable institutions. AARO works to advance the economic and social well-being of Central Texas by researching and addressing public policy issues in 5 priority areas: Energy & Water, Health Care, P-16 Education, Social Equity, and Transportation.
