P-16 Education

Central Texas is a region of extraordinary economic success, yet the educational attainment of some students, particularly those from families with low incomes, continue to languish. Instead, we conceived and helped midwife the birth of the E3 Alliance, a nonprofit research and advocacy organization that is serving as a national model for improving education. Separately, the AARO P-16 Education Committee is researching factors that impact teaching quality.

Policy Goal

  • Policy goal under construction.
    • Study the importance of the teaching profession and the role effective teaching plays in improving education outcomes.
    • Research bright spots related to exemplary teaching and strategies to attract and keep the best and brightest teachers that have worked in other regions and throughout the world.
